FAFSA - Students and their parents can begin to file the FAFSA beginning October 1st 2021. You will need last year's tax information to complete the form. If you have not filed your taxes yet make the best estimate you can and update your FAFSA once you have filed your taxes for 2020. You should never have to pay money to file the FAFSA - make sure you are using the correct website. The FAFSA must be filled out for all students enrolling in any secondary program.

The Common Application -- is a generic application that students can fill out and send to multiple schools. The common app is a great tool to keeping students organized with admission deadlines, important documents and their application status.

University of Maine System Application -- This application will allow students to apply to any and all university of Maine locations. UMO - USM - UMF - UMFK - UMA - UMM - UMPI - UMA @ Bangor

Central Maine Community College -- CMCC application

Southern Maine Community College -- SMCC application

*If a student is taking an online college course while they are still enrolled in SMHS- if the student would like their college credit on their high school transcript, make sure to bring your college transcript to the guidance office!!!!!
